The Organizing Rx
About Us

Maura Raffensperger has taught hundreds of people throughout Southern California to become dramatically more organized and personally productive over the last eleven years.
Her approach to training is streamlined, practical, immediately usable and adaptable to individual needs. Her training content is uniquely structured to promote the development of lasting work habits.
Maura began her career as a hospital pharmacist, where she applied and honed her analytical, organization and communication skills. One accomplishment was setting up a pharmacy in the surgery department, one of the first in California. She did this by assessing needs, building collaborative relationships between departments, and organizing an inventory system, resulting in dramatic reductions in inventory costs and improvements in patient care.
During this time, Maura facilitated a quality circle, trained nursing and medical staff, and taught pharmacy students as Clinical Instructor of Pharmacy at USC. Maura liked teaching so well that she went back to school to obtain an M.A., with an emphasis in Computers in Instruction. For four years after, she taught high school chemistry and physics.
Maura is a past president of the Santa Barbara/Ventura chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and a Silver Microphone recipient of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Speaker's Association. She served three years on the Board of the National Human Resources Association [NHRA] Ventura County affiliate, and was awarded "Member of the Year" for 2006-2007.
An avid hiker, Maura has climbed more than 400 peaks and led over 100 of these hikes for the Sierra Club.
